Fall Look in Cambridge, MA

A main reason I wanted to visit Boston was because I wanted to experience fall in New England, so naturally I wanted to have the perfect fall outfit for it. Leading up to the trip, I purchased a plaid wrap skirt, a basic white tee (from the men's section), and a charcoal trench coat from Theory to assemble the perfect fall look. I originally wanted to go for a plaid blazer or coat as they are everywhere at the moment. I love the trend but it does seem a little overdone at this point, so I thought wearing the pattern in a skirt was a nice little twist. Plus it looked preppy and I knew we might be visiting Harvard! In these shots I paired the outfit with my Marni black ankle boots. I had been in search of the perfect pair of black ankle boots for a long time now. Even though it should be one of the easiest items to find for fall/winter and I was willing to invest in something high-quality, it was actually a surprisingly difficult task. Eventually I spotted these on sale on Yoox and took the plunge right away. They're really basic but they just looked so perfect to me.

On the morning we took these shots it was extremely windy with rain, which made for mostly awkward shots as I struggled to "model" even more than usual, but some turned out pretty cool. What do you think?

I still have some more to share from my trip to Massachussets, for now, check out some shots from our apple picking adventure!
