A Walk in Larchmont Village

Yesterday I had one of those perfect Saturdays. The day already started off well when I woke up at 8:30am. I used to sleep in until 12 or 1pm on weekends and that always left me feeling lethargic and unproductive. So now that I’ve realized how much nicer a day can turn out when I have an early start, I’m making quite an effort to become more of a morning person. After getting ready, I went to meet up with my friends Jessica and Mia for brunch at Republique in La Brea. Despite waiting in line for quite some time, we still got our food around 11am because again – early starts! We had the loveliest chats – from fashion to career to boys to cats. Catching up with them left me feeling energetic and content so instead of heading home I decided to venture into Larchmont Village, a half-square mile neighborhood near the Grove that I’ve been wanting to check out. It has a quaint main street that has everything one would possibly need for a relaxing weekend day – a book store, coffee shops and bakeries, restaurants, boutiques, barbershop, a magazine stand… the list goes on. I spent quite some time in Shopaholics Sample Sales and Library, where I scored a couple pieces that I can’t wait to wear and share. I also had a nice chat with the sales associates in Perverse Sunglasses and Malin+Goetz. To cool down from the heat, I grabbed a strawberry lemonade from Larchmont Bungalow, a place I can’t wait to go back and try the food.
