Two Summer Work Looks

I’ve been wanting to put together a post (or a series!) of what I wear to work for a while now. After all, I spend 5 out of 7 days a week wearing these outfits, yet every single look I’ve featured on the blog is from weekends. In terms of dress code, my office is super casual, so I could wear a t-shirt with jeans and sneakers every day of the week if I’d like to. But if you’ve been…

San Juan Capistrano

I spent a very sunny Sunday visiting Mission San Juan Capistrano. Founded in 1776, it’s the 3rd oldest Spanish mission of a total of 21 in California. I’ve seen my fair share of them and used to pass by the one in San Gabriel at least once a week, but there’s a reason the one in San Juan Capistrano is such a hot spot for photoshoots. The grounds were beautiful, filled with ponds, ruins, plants. There were also countless humming…

A White Romper & The Broad Part II

Sunday means another day of exploring! This morning I woke up at 5:55am to watch my hero Roger Federer win his 8th Wimbledon and 19th grand slam. I’ve been watching him play since 2005 and needlessly to say, I was absolutely overjoyed. The match was short and left me plenty of time to get ready for our visit to The Broad at 10am! We visited the museum last year (read here) but did not plan well enough to get into…

Living in a Big City

Living in LA, one of the topics I think of a lot is well… what it’s like to live in LA. I’ve lived in several big cities in my life – Beijing, London, LA. I can’t say much about living in Beijing because I was too young to be autonomous, but I have noticed so many similarities between London and LA, two cities that can hardly be more different than each other. London is dense, ancient, and rainy while LA…

Pastel Pink

Summer’s really here! The weather was boiling hot today, even at 9am at Santa Monica Beach. When the ocean breeze is not even enough to stop your sweating, you know it’s time to welcome easy outfits and summer nights. We went on a walk at UCLA today for these photos, and it wasn’t until I came back that I realized that I had already worn a similar outfit on my trip to Florida last year. But who cares! If it…

York, England

This post is long overdue as it’s officially been over half a year since my 2016 Christmas trip to the UK. There’s no shortage of posts about that trip – I’ve shared Christmas in London, a winter look, a roundup of my favorite parks in London, the hotels I stayed in England, and a some snaps from East London. Just because there’s already been somewhat of an overload of UK travel posts, however, does not mean that York doesn’t deserve its…

Sunday in La Jolla

I. freakin’. love. San Diego. It’s just the perfect place. And I miss the good old days when I lived alone on Torrey Pines Rd, a 15 minute walk away from La Jolla Shores. That’s also when I started this blog so I whipped up lots of content about SD. I photographed and wrote about places from Mission Bay to Windansea to Point Loma… Even though those posts were shorter and less time consuming, they were some real gems to me. Nostalgia aside, now I know…

The Perfect Embroidered Dress

Yesterday I got to dress up for a company event that I was super excited for. I had bought this dress (Lush) on a whim from a boutique in Los Feliz a couple months ago, but never wore it. It turned out to be perfect for the occasion because it was classy and comfortable. I felt really feminine in it and got lots of compliments. I paired it with some Cathy Jean nude sandals and a Miu Miu bag. Sunglasses…
