Yesterday I got to dress up for a company event that I was super excited for. I had bought this dress (Lush) on a whim from a boutique in Los Feliz a couple months ago, but never wore it. It turned out to be perfect for the occasion because it was classy and comfortable. I felt really feminine in it and got lots of compliments. I paired it with some Cathy Jean nude sandals and a Miu Miu bag. Sunglasses are from Melrose Trading Post and are probably one of the quirkiest items I own.

Recently the bf and I have been living pretty different schedules, so I’ve been taking advantage of waking early to get breakfast by myself, and it’s absolutely refreshing. One Sunday morning I went to Spazzio Cafe in Brentwood, makeup-free and a book in hand and enjoyed a ham and avocado crepe (they make the best crepes!) and a steamy latte. Then I spontaneously decided to drive to the beach and read on a bench in Palisades Park, overlooking the ocean and finishing up the rest of my coffee. With the fresh air, slight mist, and stunning view, I felt incredibly…

Happy Memorial Day! Apparently, this day marks the first day of summer and also the first day that we can wear white. There’s absolutely no sense in this rule, but I went ahead and wore white anyways since it’s one of my favorite colors. I got this white shirt dress at Urban Outfitters about a month ago. It’s pretty sheer so I bought it thinking I could wear it more as a cover up for breezy summer outfits. I think it looks much better unbuttoned than buttoned up. It’s been sold out but I found some similar ones here and here. Underneath, I…

Yesterday I had one of those perfect Saturdays. The day already started off well when I woke up at 8:30am. I used to sleep in until 12 or 1pm on weekends and that always left me feeling lethargic and unproductive. So now that I’ve realized how much nicer a day can turn out when I have an early start, I’m making quite an effort to become more of a morning person. After getting ready, I went to meet up with my friends Jessica and Mia for brunch at Republique in La Brea. Despite waiting in line for quite some time,…

I’ve mentioned my love for and quite frankly, obsession with unique hotels a feeew times before on this blog and have written about Korakia Pensione in Palm Springs, The Rookery in London and Hotel Indigo in York. There have been more similar hotels that I had the fortune to stay at before I started this blog, however, and it makes me sad that I didn’t take pretty enough pictures for me share them now. So I think it only makes sense to start a little series on my blog that documents any cool hotels I get to stay at –…

Please excuse the complete lack of creativity in the title – it’s not at all a reflection of how excited I actually am about this look! As you probably know, Urban Outfitters had a 30% off *all*dresses and rompers in stores, so I hurried over to the Santa Monica store, braving the crowd, in hopes of scoring one or two cute dresses for the summer. Of course, UO never disappoints. I found this abstract black and white number that I adored as soon as I laid eyes on it. It’s from Silence and Noise, one of my top labels from…

Without intending to, “sundays” have kind of become an informal series on my blog. I’ve previously posted about spending Sunday biking in Santa Monica, hiking in Griffith Park, and perusing Melrose Trading Post. This last Sunday I got to explore the Arts District in Downtown LA, a small area right next to Little Tokyo. Its history as home to many factories in LA left numerous industrial buildings converted into art galleries, shops, and eateries. This was our first visit in the area and I mostly wanted to see the Hauser & Wirth exhibits that have been all over social media.…

I’ve been to New York City in 2008, 2012, 2015, and also a couple times when I was little, of which I barely have any memory. What I have absolute no memory of is venturing into any borough that’s not Manhattan. During this trip I made it a point to explore outside of Manhattan. This was made a bit easier by the fact that my best friend now attends medical school in the city. For the first time I get to visit from somewhat of a local’s perspective. On my first day here, we decided to go to the Bronx…
