I spent a very sunny Sunday visiting Mission San Juan Capistrano. Founded in 1776, it’s the 3rd oldest Spanish mission of a total of 21 in California. I’ve seen my fair share of them and used to pass by the one in San Gabriel at least once a week, but there’s a reason the one in San Juan Capistrano is such a hot spot for photoshoots. The grounds were beautiful, filled with ponds, ruins, plants. There were also countless humming birds, bees and butterflies roaming about on this particular day. I was surprised that my Olympus Pen was able to capture them so well. I didn’t have much time to explore San Juan Capistrano as the mission is situated in a quaint historical town. I caught a glimpse of it walking to and from the mission and would love to spend some more time there when I get the chance.
